Where to Party in Riga

Apart from Frank's Riga Hostel bar, here are some other great places to party whilst in Riga:

Located under the shadow of St. Peter's Church in Riga old town and New Zealand managed, this bar is the place to meet both locals and those new to town. It's bright and vibrant and the layout of the bar gets everyone interacting with each other, sharing gossip and the news of the day. The friendly banter is helped along by the staff, who are always willing to give their opinion and advice in true Kiwi fashion. And of course, for those who like betting and watching their sports, there are plenty of TV screens with good sight lines, so you never miss those all important games.

 Paddy Whelan's

Paddy Whelan's, the first Irish pub in Riga, offers a total of 15 different kinds of both local and imported beers and ciders. They have an extensive menu with not only traditional Irish dishes, their Indian chefs are proud to offer Indian home-style cooking at affordable prices as well. Here you can sit back and relax in this kicked-back atmosphere and watch live sporting events on either a large screen or any of the numerous flat screen TVs on both floors. There is also a small smoking area on the second floor. When legendary Irish singer Shane MacGowan from the Pogues was in Riga, this is where he came for a Guinness and a whiskey. Paddy's has hosted plenty of musicians and bands throughout the years. If you happen to be a travelling musician then talk to the management and don't be afraid to show off your skills in our pub. In this pub you can also get connected to the world wide web through their WIFI router. Just tell any member of our staff if you need to buy an internet access card. They have extended their entertainment to include Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 p.m. and on Thursdays the Latvia Darts Organization is organizing open competitions for all who believe they can hit bullseye. The dart boards are a permanent fixture of the pub so you and your friends can play pretty much whenever you feel like it. You can also try your luck at table football or foosball as it is also known. This is the place to be with the friendliest staff you'll ever see.
